Light and Delicious Banana Pudding
Light and Delicious Banana Pudding
Banana pudding has been a treat I really enjoy since childhood. This recipe tends to be somewhat lighter than the traditional cooked puddings and requires much less preparation time. This recipe blends cool and creamy instant pudding, fresh sliced bananas, whipped topping, and vanilla wafer cookies. It is also great made with a plain shortbread cookie sold by a certain group of girls once a year. :)

Cook Time
Ingredients
- 1 3 oz package instant vanilla pudding, prepared by package directions
- 1 3 oz. package instant banana pudding, prepared by package directions
- 1 16 oz. tub whipped topping, thawed
- 3-4 bananas, sliced thinly
- 1 box vanilla wafer cookies, the mini kind work well too
Light and Delicious Banana Pudding
- Prepare the vanilla and banana pudding together according to the directions on the package. This makes it have a light banana flavor without being overwhelming.
- Add the whipped topping to the pudding and stir it in well.
- Get a large bowl or casserole dish and layer vanilla wafers on the bottom.
- Place sliced bananas over the vanilla wafers to cover them.
- Pour 1/2 of pudding mixture on top of cookies and bananas.
- Repeat the layers -- cookies, bananas, and pudding mixture.
- Decorate the top with cookies and/or banana slices. I also place cookies sideways around the top of the banana pudding.
- Chill and enjoy.
