Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo
I love pasta and I love shrimp. Not much else is better than the two together in a creamy alfredo sauce. This recipe is an easy alfredo sauce served with shrimp sauteed with a dusting of old bay seasoning and garlic. Add a dash of lemon for a taste sensation.
Cook Time
Ingredients
- 1 8 oz block cream cheese
- 1 1/2 cups parmesian cheese
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup milk
- 8 oz fettuccine, cooked by package directions
- 1 small package mushrooms, sliced
- to taste salt and pepper
- 1/2 lb shrimp, medium, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp old bay seasoning
- 1 tbsp oil, olive, vegetable, or canola
- 1 tsp garlic, minced jar kind
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Directions
- Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Cook until tender but firm.
- Combine cream cheese, 1 cup parmesan cheese, butter, milk, and mushrooms into a large saucepan. Cook on low heat until smooth.
- In a small skillet, saute shrimp, garlic, old bay, and lemon juice in the oil. Cook until the shrimp is pink.
- Add fettuccine noodles to the cream sauce and stir together. Then add shrimp (oil, garlic, and all) and toss some more.
